On Athento SE
You can access the management of your Document Form or Document Type from main nav bar on your left. How to access the Document form administration?
Once you get to the Document form management, from the Field panel, you will be able to click on the Add new field button.
After clicking, you will see a form. Athento will ask for a name for the new field and also you will need to say what kind of data you want to store there.
Once you complete the required information, click on Save. You are all set. The new fields will be available immediately. Old documents under this document type will also show the new fields.
On Athento ECM
In order to edit existent document types and add new fields, you will have to access to your Athento Rhombus project.
Metadata are group by schemas. To find out in which schema a field is, the easiest way is to find out first what are the schemas associated with our document type. To do so, you can go to Document > Document types.
Use the search form to find the document type you are trying to edit. By clicking on View, you will be able to access to its schemas.
From this view, we will find out about what schema we should add the field to.
Once you know the schema you want to edit, go to Documents > Schemas, and access to the schema.
Inside the schema, by clicking on the Add button, you will be able to add new fields to it.
Rhombus will ask for a name for the metadata and for the kind of data we want to store in it.
It is possible to add as many fields as we need. Once you are done adding fields, click on Save and Generate All.
Finally, you will have to install the changes on your Athento ECM instance and restart it.
